Rémi Bonnet is a Swiss mountain runner and ski mountaineer from Charmey, in the canton of Fribourg. Born March 3, 1995, he races for Salomon and competes across vertical kilometre, mountain running and ski mountaineering, moving between the running and skiing seasons rather than choosing one.
Bonnet won the Skyrunner World Series vertical kilometre title in 2015 and took Zegama-Aizkorri in 2018 in 3:53:55. He won the Golden Trail Series in 2022. At Pikes Peak in 2023 he won the Ascent in 2:00:20, breaking a course record that had stood for 30 years, and he has won the Marathon du Mont-Blanc twice, in 2023 and again in 2026.
His strongest event is the vertical kilometre. In 2025 he won the world title in the discipline at Canfranc, Spain, then broke the world record at Fully in Valais, climbing 1,000 metres over 1.9 kilometres in 27:21. The previous record of 28:53 had belonged to Philip Götsch since 2017.
On snow, Bonnet won world ski mountaineering titles in 2023 and 2025 in both the individual and vertical disciplines.
