Elhousine Elazzaoui is a Moroccan mountain runner and the first African man to win the Golden Trail World Series.
Born March 16, 1992, in Zagora in southeastern Morocco, Elazzaoui races for NNormal. He took the Golden Trail World Series title in 2024, sealing it at the Grand Final in Ascona-Locarno, Switzerland, with a maximum score built on the prologue, the final and three earlier wins.
He won the Marathon du Mont-Blanc in 2024 in 3:30:10, a course record. At Zegama-Aizkorri he finished second in 2023 and again in 2024, then won in 2025 in 3:43:28 and defended the title in 2026 in 3:45:07.
Zegama and the Marathon du Mont-Blanc are two of the longest-running races on the European mountain circuit, and Elazzaoui is the first Moroccan to win either.
