RuntimeRacing (“we,” “us,” the “Site”) publishes race coverage, results, and athlete profiles at www.runtimeracing.co. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. We are based in the United States.

What We Collect

Analytics data

We use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand which pages are read and how fast they load. These record page paths, referring site, approximate country, device type, and browser — aggregated, and without cookies or cross-site tracking identifiers.

Account data

If you create an account, we store your email address and authentication credentials through Supabase, our database and authentication provider. Passwords are hashed by Supabase and are never visible to us. We also store the races you favorite so we can show them back to you.

Push notifications

If you opt in to race reminders, we store a device registration token supplied by OneSignal so we can deliver those notifications. You can revoke this at any time in your browser or device settings, or by turning notifications off on the Site.

Chat and search

Questions you submit to on-page race chat features are stored so we can improve answers and prevent abuse. Do not submit sensitive personal information through these features.

Server logs

Our hosting provider, Vercel, automatically logs requests — including IP address, user agent, and timestamp — for security, abuse prevention, and debugging. These logs are retained on a rolling short-term basis.

Advertising and Cookies

We may display advertising served by Google, including through Google AdSense. Where that is active:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this Site or other sites.
• Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this Site and/or other sites on the internet.
• You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.
• You may opt out of third-party vendor cookies more broadly at aboutads.info/choices or optout.networkadvertising.org.
• Visitors in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland are shown a consent prompt before personalized advertising cookies are set, and personalized ads are served only with consent.

As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Affiliate relationships never determine our editorial opinions or which products we recommend.

How We Use Your Data

• To operate the Site and deliver the content and features you request.
• To maintain your account, favorites, and notification preferences.
• To measure which coverage is read so we can decide what to publish next.
• To protect the Site against abuse, fraud, and technical failure.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your email address with advertisers.

Service Providers

We rely on a small set of processors who handle data on our behalf: Vercel (hosting, analytics), Supabase (database and authentication), OneSignal (push notifications), and Google (advertising). Each processes data under its own privacy terms.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live — including under the GDPR in the EEA and UK, and the CCPA/CPRA in California — you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, email bobby@runtimeracing.co and we will respond within 30 days. Account deletion is handled the same way — email us and we will delete your account, which removes your profile, favorites, notification preferences, and device registrations.

Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We may update this policy as the Site changes. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above.
