Fuzhao Xiang is a Chinese mountain runner and the most successful ultrarunner her country has produced. She is from Wanzhou in Chongqing, in the hills of southwest China, and came to the sport through running in the mountains around her home.
Her first international win came at Ultra-Trail Mount Fuji in 2019, and she has won the race again since. She also won Chiang Mai Thailand by UTMB in 2021 in 26:01:23.
Xiang has raced UTMB repeatedly, improving each time she finished. She was 11th woman in 2019, seventh in 2022 and fourth in 2023, and did not finish in 2024.
Her strongest results have come at the Western States 100. She finished second in 2024 in 16:20:03, the fastest debut any woman had run at the race and at the time the third-fastest women's time in its history behind Courtney Dauwalter and Katie Schide. She was second again in 2025 in 16:47:09 and finished the race for a third consecutive year in 2026.
She is entered for the 2026 UTMB.
