The CCC is the marquee sister race of the UTMB, covering the final 101 kilometers of the Tour du Mont-Blanc from Courmayeur through the Swiss village of Champex-Lac to Chamonix. As a UTMB World Series Finals event, it attracts the deepest field in 100 km trail running. The course crosses three countries and features relentless Alpine climbing, technical descents, and a legendary midnight finish in Chamonix town center.

Runners set off from the Italian town of Courmayeur in the shadow of Mont Blanc. The atmosphere is electric as thousands of spectators line the narrow streets for the evening start, with the massive granite walls of the Mont Blanc massif glowing in alpenglow.

Grand Col Ferret (2,537m)
The first major climb takes runners up to the Grand Col Ferret on the Italian-Swiss border. The ascent is long and exposed, with panoramic views of the Mont Blanc range. Crossing into Switzerland marks a psychological milestone.

The picturesque Swiss lakeside village of Champex-Lac provides a major aid station at roughly the halfway point. Runners refuel along the shores of the emerald lake before tackling the second half of the course.

Bovine and La Giète
The Bovine trail is a famous high balcony path with sweeping views of the Rhône Valley and the Bernese Alps. This rolling section through alpine pastures gives way to the punishing climb up La Giète before the final descent.

Chamonix Finish
The legendary finish line in the heart of Chamonix, shared with the UTMB. Runners descend from La Flégère through the Arve Valley and into the packed town center, crossing the line under floodlights to a roaring crowd on the famous Quai du Mont-Blanc.
