Francesco Puppi is an Italian mountain and trail runner, and the first Italian to win the CCC at UTMB Mont-Blanc.
Born January 26, 1992, Puppi is based between Chiavenna, Appiano Gentile and Como, and races for Hoka. He built his career on shorter mountain races, winning the World Long Distance Mountain Running Championships at the Giir di Mont in 2017 and finishing second at the same championship in Patagonia in 2019 and at the World Trail Running Championships in Thailand in 2022. He won the Golden Trail World Series final at El Hierro in 2021 and the OCC at UTMB in 2023.
He moved up in distance in 2025, winning the Transgrancanaria Marathon, the Chianti 50K, the Lavaredo 50K, the Canyons 100K on his debut at the distance, and the CCC at Chamonix in 10:06:02, the second-fastest time recorded on the course.
