Sabrina Stanley grew up in Onalaska, Washington, and ran her first ultramarathon in February 2015. After a DNF at the Leadville 100 in that debut year, she returned and built one of the most consistent winning records in North American trail running.
Stanley won the Hardrock 100 in 2018 and again in 2021, finishing the latter in 27:21:48, the second-fastest women's time in the race's history. She won the Diagonale des Fous (Grand Raid La Reunion, 170 kilometers) in 2019, becoming the first American woman to win that race. She also won the HURT 100 and the Nolan's 14 FKT, setting a new mark more than eight hours faster than the previous record.
Stanley is based in Silverton, Colorado. She trains in the San Juan Mountains, logging 60 to 160 miles per week during peak preparation. She co-runs Power Couple Coaching with fellow runner Avery Collins.
