Kaci Lickteig is an American ultrarunner from Nebraska best known for winning the 2016 Western States 100, taking the title in just under 18 hours on one of the hottest race days in the event's history.
A physical therapist based in Omaha, Lickteig ran her first ultramarathon in 2012 at age 25, won it, and won her next eight ultras as well. She built her mountain results on flatland training, preparing for a course with more than 40,000 feet of elevation change in a region where the largest local hill rises 93 feet.
Her 2016 season, which included six other ultra victories alongside Western States, earned her UltraRunning Magazine's Ultrarunner of the Year award. She has recorded five top-10 finishes at Western States, and in 2019 she won both the Black Canyon 100K in 8:38:38 and the Javelina Jundred in 15:32:00.
