THE STORY

Ian Sharman is a British ultrarunner with one of the most consistent 100-mile racing records in the sport. He won the Leadville Trail 100 four times, in 2013, 2015, 2016, and 2017, and holds the record for the Grand Slam of Ultrarunning, completing the Western States, Vermont, Leadville, and Wasatch 100 milers in a combined 69:49:38 in 2013.

Sharman won the Rocky Raccoon 100 three times, in 2011, 2015, and 2016, and has twice won the USATF 100-mile trail national championship. He has raced ultramarathons and marathons in more than 30 countries.

He is also one of the best known coaches in ultrarunning as the founder and head coach of Sharman Ultra Coaching.
