Annie Hughes is an American ultrarunner who races primarily at 200 miles and beyond. She grew up in Wisconsin, ran a year of track at Adams State University in Colorado, and built her career out of Leadville.
Hughes won the Leadville Trail 100 in 2021 in 21:06:58, becoming the youngest woman to win the race, and took the Moab 240 six weeks later in 68:50:02. At the Cocodona 250 in 2022 she finished first among women and third overall in 71:10:22, cutting roughly 14 hours off the women's course record. That mark stood until 2025.
She placed third in the women's race at the Hardrock 100 in 2023. After surgery interrupted her 2024 season, Hughes returned in 2025 and won the women's race at the Tahoe 200 in 61:45:42.
