Dmitry Mityaev is a Russian trail and ultramarathon runner who competes internationally as a neutral athlete. He stands 183 centimeters tall and specializes in races between 100 and 120 kilometers. He came to trail running through a background in orienteering and road racing, having run a road marathon personal best of approximately 2:26 before shifting disciplines.
Mityaev won the Salomon Ultra Pirineu 100K in 2019 and 2024 and back-to-back editions of the Ultra-Trail Cape Town 100K in 2022 and 2023. His 2024 Pirineu finish time of 10:27:38 was within two minutes of the course record held by Kilian Jornet. He holds an ITRA Performance Index of 912 and a UTMB Index of 905, placing him among the top elite 100K specialists in the world.
He is sponsored by Adidas TERREX and Red Bull and co-founded the Trail Running School (trailrunningschool.com) with his wife Ekaterina in 2014.
