Bekelech Gudeta is an Ethiopian marathon runner whose personal best of 2:22:54 came when she won the C&D Xiamen Marathon in January 2024.
Gudeta took her first significant marathon title at the Prague International Marathon in 2022, winning in 2:22:56. She returned two years later at Xiamen and took two seconds off that mark, winning a World Athletics Platinum Label race by more than a minute.
She led the Xiamen race from early alongside compatriots Aberu Ayana Mulisa and Ftaw Zeray, and was clear of the field before halfway. Fatima Ezzahra Gardadi of Morocco finished second in 2:24:12.
Gudeta won again later in 2024 at the Shanghai Marathon, running 2:25:21. She has also finished in the top eight at the World Half Marathon Championships.
