The NN Marathon Rotterdam is historically one of the fastest marathon courses on the planet. Three world records have been set on its famously flat roads — by Carlos Lopes (1985), Belayneh Dinsamo (1988), and Tegla Loroupe (1998). Starting at the iconic Erasmus Bridge and finishing on the heroic Coolsingel boulevard, the course showcases Rotterdam's modern skyline and maritime heritage while hundreds of thousands of spectators create a wall of sound.
