Evans Kiplagat Chebet is a Kenyan marathoner and back-to-back Boston Marathon champion. After years as a strong but unheralded sub-2:05 marathoner, Chebet broke through by winning the 2020 Valencia Marathon in 2:03:00, his personal best.
In 2022 he won both the Boston Marathon and the New York City Marathon, becoming the third man this century to take both World Marathon Majors in the same year. He successfully defended his Boston title in 2023 with 2:05:54, finishing ahead of Eliud Kipchoge in one of the upsets of the year.
Chebet is part of the deep Kenyan training group based in Kapsabet and combines his elite racing career with farming at home.
