Hannes Namberger of Germany returned to Cortina d'Ampezzo on the last weekend of June and won the 120K in 11:45:31, his fourth victory on the course. Sunmaya Budha of Nepal took the women's race in 13:33:18, breaking a course record that had stood for 13 years.

The Lavaredo Ultra Trail sends runners 120 kilometers through the Dolomites with 5,800 meters of climbing, passing beneath the Tre Cime di Lavaredo, the three towers the race was built around. The queen race started at 11 p.m. on Friday, June 26, with the field climbing into the night by headlamp.

The Men's Race

Namberger came back after a year away from the race and controlled the front of the field. He reached the finish in Cortina nearly 10 minutes clear of his closest chasers.

Andreas Reiterer and Tobias Geiser filled the remaining podium places, both timed in 11:55:26.

The Women's Race

Budha trailed Lucy Bartholomew deep into the race and made her move on the final descent into Cortina. She crossed the line 1 minute and 41 seconds ahead of the Australian, who finished second in 13:34:59.

Emma Stuart finished third in 14:47:42. Budha's winning time removed a women's course record that had been on the books since 2013, one of the oldest marks in the UTMB World Series.

What Comes Next

The 2027 edition of the 120K is scheduled for June 25, with the shorter Lavaredo distances spread across the same weekend in Cortina.
