Sergio Gustavo Pereyra is an Argentine ultratrail runner born August 28, 1994 in Zapala, Neuquén. He is widely considered the most successful Argentine trail runner of his generation and has made the Patagonia Run his signature event.
Pereyra has won the Patagonia Run 100-mile race four times: 2021 (21:30:25), 2023 (19:25:29), 2024 (20:25:46), and 2026 (20:28:21). His 2023 winning time of 19:25:29 is his fastest performance at the event. His four Patagonia Run victories rank him as the most decorated winner of the race since its founding.
Pereyra runs for the WEIS team and competes primarily on South American ultra distances. He trains at altitude in the Argentine Patagonia and races a small number of marquee events each year.
