Katharina Hartmuth is a German ultratrail runner who has emerged as one of the most consistent women in long-format mountain ultras since 2022. She finished second at the 2023 UTMB Mont-Blanc in 24:10:52 and took silver at the 2023 Trail World Championships 80K. Her UTMB Index of 782 places her among the highest-ranked female trail athletes in the world.
Hartmuth has won the Eiger Ultra Trail twice consecutively, in 2022 (13:37:21) and 2023 (13:17:32). In 2024 she won the Tor des Géants in 79:10:40, the 330-kilometer Italian Alps ultra. She opened 2026 with a win at MIUT (Madeira Island Ultra-Trail), finishing 15th overall in 14:54:59.
