Almaz Kebebe is an Ethiopian marathon runner who won the 2026 Gold Coast Marathon in 2:24:53, the biggest victory of her career to date. Born in September 2005, she made her marathon debut at the 2025 Dubai Marathon, finishing eighth in a personal best of 2:23:30.
Kebebe placed third at the 2025 TCS Toronto Waterfront Marathon in 2:26:40 before traveling to Australia for the Gold Coast. She took the lead in the closing stages and held off Kenya's Antonina Kwambai, who finished 31 seconds back. Her winning time fell 31 seconds outside the course record of 2:24:22. She was 20 years old at the time of the race.
