The Superior 100 Mile Trail Race runs point-to-point along the Superior Hiking Trail above Lake Superior in northeastern Minnesota, covering 102.9 miles (165.6 km) with 5,288 m of elevation gain on 95 percent technical single-track. Founded in 1991, it is one of the oldest 100-mile trail races in the United States. The course runs from Gooseberry Falls State Park to Caribou Highlands Lodge in Lutsen.
