The Tata Mumbai Marathon is India's biggest and most iconic marathon, and the largest mass-participation sporting event in Asia. Starting from the historic Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, the course runs past the Bandra-Worli Sea Link, the Marine Drive waterfront promenade known as the "Queen's Necklace," and Haji Ali before finishing at Azad Maidan. The January race attracts over 55,000 runners and is the crown jewel of Indian distance running.
