The Grampians Peaks Trail 100 Miler is World Trail Majors' newest addition, traversing the full length of the Gariwerd/Grampians ranges in western Victoria. Runners cross rugged sandstone peaks, ancient Aboriginal rock art sites, and dramatic ridgelines through one of Australia's most culturally significant landscapes. The point-to-point course from Mt Zero to Dunkeld features relentless climbing across exposed rocky terrain that tests even the most experienced ultrarunners.

Mt Zero Start
The race begins at Mt Zero in the northern Grampians. Runners immediately face exposed sandstone terrain as they climb into the Mt Difficult Range. Ancient Aboriginal rock art shelters dot the landscape, evidence of the Djab Wurrung and Jardwadjali peoples' 22,000-year connection to this land.

The spectacular Hollow Mountain and Mt Stapylton formations feature dramatic overhanging rock shelters and narrow passages. Runners scramble over weathered sandstone slabs with panoramic views across the Wimmera plains stretching to the horizon.

Descending into the township of Halls Gap provides a crew access point before the iconic Wonderland Range. The Grand Canyon, Silent Street, and Pinnacle lookout offer some of the most spectacular scenery on the entire course.

Major Mitchell Plateau
The highest section of the course traverses the Major Mitchell Plateau at over 1,000 meters. The exposed rocky terrain and weather-blasted vegetation create an alpine feel, and runners navigate technical rock hopping through the night hours.

Mt Abrupt & Dunkeld Finish
