The Dragon's Back Race is a six-day, 380 km mountain running race traversing the length of Wales from Conwy Castle in the north to Cardiff Castle in the south. The route crosses Snowdonia, the Cambrian Mountains, and the Brecon Beacons, with 16,400 m of total ascent and no course markings. Originally held in 1992, the modern race was relaunched in 2012 and requires GPS navigation throughout.
