THE STORY

Valerie Arsenault is a Canadian ultra-trail runner from Quebec who won the 2026 Quebec Mega Trail QMT135 in a women's course record of 18:12:06, leading an all-Canadian women's podium at Mont-Sainte-Anne. A former competitive cyclist who transitioned to trail running around 2014, she has become one of Canada's most consistent ultra-distance performers.

Arsenault placed third at the JFK 50 Mile in both 2023 (6:35:55) and 2024 (6:15:59), improving by nearly 20 minutes between editions, and won the Ultra-Trail Harricana du Canada 125K in September 2025. She also finished fourth at the 2026 Madeira Island Ultra-Trail 110K in April 2026. Her Quebec Mega Trail victory improved on the inaugural 2025 women's course record by approximately 59 minutes.
