Conner Mantz is the American marathon and half marathon record holder and the leading U.S. marathoner of his generation. A former BYU All-American and two-time NCAA cross country champion, Mantz turned professional in 2022 and quickly emerged as the dominant figure in American distance running.
In January 2025 he ran 59:17 at the Houston Half Marathon, breaking Ryan Hall's long-standing American half marathon record. Later that year he set the American marathon record of 2:04:43 at the Chicago Marathon. He won the 2024 U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials and represented the United States at the Paris Olympics.
Mantz trains in Provo, Utah with coach Ed Eyestone and is sponsored by Nike.
