KEVIN STEWART AND SARAH OSTASZEWSKI WIN THE 2026 WASATCH FRONT 100

Kevin Stewart won the 2026 Wasatch Front 100 in 20:41:09, and Sarah Ostaszewski won the women's race in 25:18:50. The race started on Friday, September 11, in Kaysville, Utah, and finished at Soldier Hollow in Midway after crossing the Wasatch Range.

A total of 236 runners finished under the 36-hour limit and earned a buckle. Timing along the course was handled, as it is every year, by amateur radio volunteers stationed at each aid station who relay runner splits to the finish line in Midway. The event is the final race of the Grand Slam of Ultrarunning, which also includes the Western States 100, the Vermont 100 and the Leadville Trail 100.

Men's Race

Stewart's winning time matched, to the second, the 20:41:09 that Christopher Schurk ran to win the 2015 edition. It was three minutes and three seconds slower than the 20:38:06 that Jose Cruz ran to win in 2025. Cruz, who also won in 2023, returned this year and finished second in 21:14:32. Keaton Larrabee completed the podium in 22:05:25.

The result keeps the winning time in the range that has defined the race for most of the past decade. Jimmy Elam's 19:08:35 in 2024 is the only winning time under 20 hours since George Grygar ran 19:52:12 in 2014. The course record is Geoff Roes' 18:30:55 from 2009.

Women's Race

Ostaszewski finished more than two hours ahead of the field. Astrid Lindgren was second in 27:40:28, and Lindsay Phenix took third in 28:24:50.

All three reached Soldier Hollow on Saturday morning. Ostaszewski arrived at 6:18 a.m., a little more than 25 hours after the 5:00 a.m. Friday start, according to the race's tracking page.

Ostaszewski's time compares with the 23:45:31 that Isabella Poulos ran to win in 2025 and the 26:22:10 that Elizabeth Butler ran in 2024. Ostaszewski also won the women's race at the 2024 Moab 240, her second major 100-mile-plus win in two seasons.

The Course

The point-to-point route covers 100 miles with roughly 7,900 meters of climbing over exposed ridgelines and steep canyons between Kaysville and Midway. The finish at Soldier Hollow sits on the cross-country skiing venue from the 2002 Winter Olympics. It has been run since 1980 and is among the original American 100-milers. The organizers hold the race on the first Friday and Saturday after Labor Day each year, which puts the 2027 edition on September 10.
